It's been quite some time since the last bird newsletter.
Now the spring bird migration is just at its peak, new and interesting messages about incoming or overflying species come from anywhere on the island.
Until now, the circumstances with which brought that stretches my observation area primarily on the home garden and the tree land, as well as on the neighbouring meadows and orchards.
Only twice have I managed to look on the Akrotiri peninsula and found various Wheatears in addition to waterfowl.
Always amazing what in our garden and specifically to the birdbath / bird pool so all meets. Also bird species that I there no longer suspected at the time such as thrush and Cetti's Warbler. Most species have I captured on video and some photos taken.
In the last few days, we have new neighbors. A few storks, which have interrupted her train and set up a hatchery at the nearby animal park with the storks, kept in aviaries.About 10 o'clock in the morning and in the afternoon go the two always on tour and search for additional feed on the meadows.
At the moment more new messages from arriving of interesting birds come in, let's see what I'm getting before the objective.
