In the last days we have two chameleons in our garden. In the early morning hours, the animals are often on the hunt for insects in the trees and bushes. Due to the colour adaptation of the animals to their surroundings, the animals are very difficult to recognize, moreover, they usually move very slowly. It is interesting to see how all body parts are used for moving and positioning.

It is now is the time where many young chameleons on the way to new areas and unfortunately are many vehicles overwhelmed them. My wife has brought the Chameleon from the road and put in our garden back in the bushes. You see here a few video scenes of them.

For several years we operate a feeding site for stray cats in the fruit tree garden. New cats are trapped after a settling-in period and by "Paphiakos Anmimal Welfare" medical supplies including sterilization. Then the cats newly set up their Habitat around our feeding area and are also get very trusting. Now a new roommate has been added, my wife was visibly surprised as this Long-eared hedgehog asserts itself on the feeding place between the cats and felt not much disturbed by their presence....
